Sing a song of sadness, I think I’m going to cry

They say the end is near now, we’re all going to die

They say it’s global warming, they say we’re all to blame

We took the world for granted and should hang our heads in shame

 

The situation’s hopeless, we’re chopping down our trees

The birds will soon be homeless, we won’t have any bees

We cause too much pollution, we’re plundering our seas

Nature’s trying to warn us but we still do as we please

 

It’s time to change our ways, if we don’t take action soon

We’ll have to take our leave, join the man in the moon

Let’s blame the politicians, our rulers should be sued

If things don’t change, our crops will fail, we won’t have any food

 

Let’s all try to be greener, let’s try to consume less

Our air will become cleaner if we don’t make so much mess

The world could soon recover, she could be good as new

Our future generations will be grateful if we do
