DON'T TELL ME YOUR SECRET
Secrets seem to rouse in me a burning need to share
So don’t tell me your secret, it’s a burden I can’t bare
Find someone more judicious, with more integrity
Your secret won’t be safe you see, tell anyone but me
I hate that I’m a blabbermouth, I don’t mean to betray
(When I let the cat out I feel wretched with dismay)
I somehow put my foot in it, I’m leaky at the seams
I tell myself “don’t do it!” but then I spill the beans
So if you’re planning something and you’re hoping to surprise
Please don’t let me in on it, that would be unwise
Take this as a warning, please be prudent, please take heed
If you insist on telling me, your secret will be freed!
